Owner and President: Kevin S. Donahoe, CRL Bonded Member, Associated Locksmiths of America (ALOA), Dayton Better Business Bureau.
Kevin has worked in and around the locksmith trade for almost 14 years. From 'humble' beginnings as a warehouse manager for a security products' wholesaler in Atlanta, GA, he hired out and trained as a mobile lock tech for an up-and-coming locksmith business serving the Atlanta metro area. Upon returning home to Dayton in 1999, he took a position with an established downtown key shop, from which, after six years, he ventured out on his own and incorporated South Side Lock & Key. After only five years, South Side Lock & Key has established itself in the Dayton market with a diverse customer base ranging from private home and business owners to property management companies; from small tooling operations to large manufacturing facilities; and from home healthcare agencies to a large area hospital. Before taking his first call, he established the following as a mission statement:
South Side Lock & Key will be a full-service mobile locksmith service dedicated to serving the security needs of South Dayton, its suburbs, and beyond. It will provide a broad range of services including, but not limited to, sales, repair and installation of a variety of locks and security-oriented products. South Side Lock & Key will be dedicated to prompt, courteous service from its technicians and professionalism in its organization. It will thus set itself apart form other ‘lock shops’ and guarantee a clientele that will share its goals and expectations. South Side Lock & Key intends to not only support the locksmith trade in Dayton but to transform the trade through the image it projects, the technology it employs, and the principles it holds.
